We live in a brownstone with rental units, the rug gets real dirty. Recently, our boiler was changed and thirty years of rust and oil went out with the old parts. Some of that got on our rug. This product really helped bring the rug back to good looking condition. We used it in conjunction with the Bissell Carpet cleaner in the blue bottle, (kitchen), both products together did the job.
Uncle Joe's did an extra good job of delivery, even though I was out of town for a few days, the package was waiting for me on my return.

I used the Bissell 9400 Steam cleaner.
When I did the LR carpeting with the Bissell Pet & Orange shampoo, it came out super clean...THIS IS A HIGH TRAFFIC ROOM & WAS REALLY DIRTY because the carpeting is bright tourquoise. I am so pleased now.
I mixed the two shampoos equally. Great results.
Try mixing the shampoos if you want to get better results..it worked for me & the LR has stayed clean after it dried.

I recently purchased several units of Bissell 740 Natural Orange-Extract Formula and after just one application on a carpet assailed by two kids, two mutts and two cats, the results were better than I have ever seen before in my home. Clearly I do not have any specific forensic credentials to evaluate chemical carpet cleaners but it is fair game to give you a concise and valuable consumer opinion that the Bissell 740 is modestly priced compared to competitors and yet seems to leave a pleasant fragrance in its wake and a super clean appearance for your carpet. Kids and pets will quickly attack your carpet in a way that requires a tough, durable and effective fluid for your upright machine, which incidently is a real good way to save on paying a service. You now have found the victor in Bissell 740 Natural Orange Extract Formula.
